The use of oil for hair treatment is not a secret. Everyone knows it. In my family, we used to use coconut oil and aloe vera juice for the hair masks. Now I married to my husband and he is an Indian. Well as we all know Indian they use even more oil for their hair, not only for treatment but also for daily basis.

One day my husband bought a bottle of hair oil from an Indian grocery store near to our home. The first time I saw this hair oil I was so skeptical because it has been in the packaging and must be added some kind of preservative and so on, but until now I didn’t find the word “paraben” or “alcohol” or other kinds that indicate chemical to preserve the shelf date. So here what I get from this hair oil.

In Indonesia the fruit amla we call it cermai, we only use this fruit for munching but in India, they use it for everything, from food to hair oil. I was so surprised how do they extract the oil from this fruit. Amla is not a big fruit, the size is around the same as cherry or smaller like blueberry.

the brand named Patanjali

Patanjali is a brand from Baba Ramdev. He is a guru as well as a yogi from India. I adore him so much. He such a great example of a human being. I wish I could come to his workshop one day.  So his brand all about ayurvedic and helping people to get a product at an affordable price.

As this hair oil is from Patanjali and I just trust it. I always believe in nature for treatment and remedy before I come to the doctor.

Greasy hair no more

In the packaging, it claims to strengthen the root, prevent hair fall, prevent grey hair, and prevent the split ends. From all of the claims, I still don’t know it is true or not, because my root is not weak, my hair fall is not much, I have some grey hair but only one here and there, and I don’t have split ends. So if I say the claim is true, I don’t experience it yet. But, the most thing that I see so differently is my hair not greasy anymore.

I used to have greasy hair and it will be flat, thanks to my oily face that spreading the oil to my hair roots. After I use this oil my hair can stand 2 days without washing and still have some volume in it. I was thinking something change to my hair, and then I realize this happened after I applying Patanjali kesh kanti amla hair oil regularly.

The first time I smell the oil it was so strong. I almost smell it more like strong sulfur, it’s kind of like pee but not so smelly, I don’t even know how to explain it.

After the hair washed and dried, the strong smell before becomes lighter and fresher, I don’t know how to describe the kind of fresh it is but it is so fresh. I feel like I wanna smell it all day long.

The fresh smell can last for so long, for me, it lasts around 3 days just because I will reapply the oil to my hair and wash my hair again. I wish I knew this Patanjali kesh kanti amla hair oil from long ago. I really love the smell of it. It is fresh yet relaxing.

How to apply Patanjali kesh kanti amla hair oil

Well, to apply the amla oil is not hard but you need to be fast, because Patanjali kesh kanti amla hair oil is kind of like liquidy, so sometimes it can drip to your forehead. But because the texture of the oil is liquidy, so it’s quickly absorbed by the hair.

To make the applying process easier, faster and not wasting any of the oil here how I do it. First I segment my hair my using comb to make the oil reaches my scalp easier.

And then I pour a small amount of the oil as fast so it won’t be too much.

After that, I massage my scalp, so then the oil can penetrate even more to my hair roots.

And keep repeating the process until all of the hair and scalp is covered in oil like a mask.

After all the applying process is done, the next step is to let the oil absorbed into the hair. I let it still overnight, and then I wash my hair the next morning. But if you can’t leave it overnight, leave it thirty minutes before you wash your hair. If that too is impossible you can apply the oil even whenever you want, not as a hair mask but as a hair perfume.

I also apply a small amount on my hair after I wash it to calm down my hair so it will not be frizzy.

Taking care of ourselves is easy and affordable actually if we are always grateful for what we have. Hopefully, this post helps you to find a new natural product that is affordable and relaxing like Patanjali kesh kanti amla hair oil.

How about you guys, do you like to use hair oil? What oil do you regularly use? I like to try other kinds of hair oil that is natural and affordable.

July 2019 I and my family went to Niagara Falls. We went there because my husband had a week free, so why not we use it for the tour. We were thinking we want to go there by using our own vehicle and drive my ourselves but after so many consideration we decide to just use a tour agency and will go there with the group. Sound easy. So what did we through in our Niagara Falls tour, is it worth it? Here is my story.

Niagara Falls Tour Budget

The fee for ticketing and food around Niagara Falls is not so expensive in my opinion. They just as regular price only. So if you just want to come to the maid of the mist and enjoy the view of the falls there is no difficulty in the budget I suppose. When we went there for ticketing to get to the maid of the mist id around $12 for adult (if I’m not wrong)

Niagara Falls Tour Fee

We went there in July, so it was summer days. But there was rain too when we were in The Cave of The Wind. If we went there when it is a hot day it will be great. Our tour guide decided we went at almost dark. so I’m not so impressed. I strongly suggest you to not using a tour agency and just do on your own so you can manage your own time if you wanna be slow or fast. No need to rely on someone else.

I’m not impressed at all with the timing that our tour guide is given to us. I was so disappointed because they were so hurried. When we were done from The Maid of The Mist we have to be fast to catch the bus to go to The Cave of The Wind. Two of our group member was left behind because they were slower than the rest of us. There is no wait. You late then will be left. Fortunately, those guys were able to catch us up by using Uber. I don’t know what will happen if that was me and my family. I mean I bring my 2 years old daughter with me.

Food in Niagara Falls

As I mentioned above the food is just like a normal price, not so expensive but not so cheap either. Taste-wise? well, when you’re traveling, taste doesn’t matter as long as you are not hungry and can continue your travel. But the food in Niagara falls is good, I mean not crap like no salt food (you know what I mean).

Close to the falls area, they provide a food court in a separate area from the falls. But still walkable. And they have so many varieties you can try from gyro until waffle. So I guess food is not so problematic in Niagara Falls. If you drive there by yourself and you bring your own food it will be even more convenient.

Last time we went there, we stay at the Radisson hotel. There they have a swimming pool, breakfast, and the room also nice and cozy, but they don’t provide you toothbrushes and toothpaste. Why I talk about toothpaste and toothbrush here? Because most of the Asian hotel they will provide those things freely in the hotel. (LOL)

For the hotel price, I don’t know exactly how much because again we paid all with the tour package. But I guess it will be around $200 per night.

I’m glad I have visited Niagara Falls, just I so regret because I chose to use such as hurry tour agency. Maybe if I went only me and my husband it won’t be a problem but since we bring our daughter that was still 2 years old it is not so enjoying. Next time when we go there again we will be using our own car and drive-by ourselves. We can adjust our timing and everything there and no hurry.

Acne! That is the most popular word people use in their skincare routine. When I got acne for the first time I thought it was just an allergy that gonna be gone soon. But I’m wrong, it stays even until now. If this is your first time meeting this kind of creature here I will tell you what I wish I knew when I got acne for the first time.

I wish I knew it was acne

Like I said before, I never knew it was acne, I thought it was just allergy from seafood or egg that will be gone in no time as usual. But I’m wrong. It was growing worst day by day. Starting from sandy-like-texture until becoming like mountain lava that ready to erupt and eject the grossest thing ever.

Because of my thought, I don’t really care about my struggle. I thought it will banish tomorrow morning. If I can go back at that time I would change my mind and immediately treat my face nicely. So regret.

I wish I can just wash my face nicely

I was a very lazy girl when it comes to clean my face. Because when I get home I already tired and just wanna sleep directly. I did not even care to change my dress when I get back home and just sleep right away. I so regretted now if I think about it. If I could just wash my face and clean up every time I get home, my face would not be like now I think.

So, girl if you are having acne now and this is your first time, please just clean your face whenever you get home, even just with water. As long as the oil on your face not being collected too much and clog the pores even more.

I didn’t care about what I ate

I ate whatever and less exercise. My favorite food, guess what. Fry food, oily food, and a lot of fatty food. I ain’t a doctor who knows exactly what is the relation between food and acne but, from what I experienced eating all those food makes my acne growing rapidly. I even start to get acne on my back. Awfull. I don’t feel them but I can see them when I look at the mirror.

I ignore people advice

Some people tell me to just don’t pick the acne, some people will say just don’t sleep on a dirty pillowcase, some people said if your face itchy just don’t touch instead just clean it with water. I was just thinking about what do they know about my face. I’m the one through these all, not them. So don’t bother. Maybe I was a teen, I was naif. Know if I think about it again, I wish I listened to them and maybe at least I don’t have acne scars.

I wish I could take care of myself more

I wish I could just save my face from acne scars. I got pitted acne scars. These days my acne only comes when I wanna get period, but my pitted scars stay there. I knew there is laser surgery to remove it but I also read some horrible fail story about it. So I don’t think right now I wanna do that. I just do my face roller using a derma roller, even it won’t make a significant result but at least it helps me a little bit. My advice if this is your first time having acne, please don’t touch it, don’t pick it, and never ever try to force it out. Acne scar is a scary thing to think about. Take care of your skin heartily so you don’t need to regret later on.

What do you wish you knew when you got acne for the first time? let me know in the comment below. xoxo
